This is a great soft song by indie artist Yael Naim. You might remember it from the commercial for the Apple MacBook Air. Enjoy!

Michael - The Comedian

Now, last but DEFINITELY not least, my funny friend Michael Smith. He's so cool. He is the funniest person out of all six of us. He always ha something to say, usually at the wrong time and place. I've also known him since the seventh grade, seems like my "friend year". He's 15, I think, and the fifth oldest(Harold being the youngest). Here's a little about him:

Michael, like I said, is a bona fide class clown with no regrets. He's always the first to talk back tol the rudest of teachers, often being rude in the process. He's not the person you want to go to the movies with. He talks to the screen. Not to be a hypocrite, because I do it too, but with him it's just ridiculous. He'll just chatter away in the best of movies, loudly. Besides that, Michael's an okay guy. He is funny, though. He's the best when you want to get back at a evil teacher. He's always hilarious and he laughs at everything. Here's the best thing about Michael's life: his mother is a doctor, so he's pretty much rich. He has a PlayStation 3, an X-Box 360, and a Nintendo Wii with more games than you can sum up in a calculator.

Other than that, Mike's pretty normal, aside from the fact that he's black as night. Yes, night. Welp(yeaah), that's the last friend and the final introductory phase of the blog. Now, here comes the stuff I started the blog for. Welcome to "PARTY OF SIX"!

Shayla - The Superstar

Stunna Shades here is my first best friend Shayla Jones. Shayla wants to be an actress. Showbiz wise, she's actually doing pretty well for herself. From what I understand, she's accepted a summer internship with BET. Shayla and I go way back. I knew her before any of my other friends, not that they don't count. Shayla and me have been through a lot, and that's why she's one of my best friends. Here's a little about her:

Up to recent times, Shayla and I are so cool that we we're planning to move to California, Los Angeles to be exact. She wants to go up there to be an actress and I want to pursue my screenwriting career. Well, I'm still a young and impressionable lad, so let me fill you in. I realized that I have to have a full five(or four, for you lazy bums) years of regular college before you can go to a cinematic arts institute. So, I was lazy and figured that I really don't want to do the five-hundred pounds of extra work it takes to get into USC(University of Southern California). Soooooo, I looked for more options out of state, because college or not, I ain't staying in Missouri after high school. So, I decided that I was going to work in school and try my luck in NYU(University of New York, New York). I haven't told her my plan yet, I'll tell her tonight though.

This post became more about me than Shayla, sorry about that. Not that Shayla isn't interesting, but I haven't spoken to her in a while, so that will change tonight. More updates soon!

Victoria & the Two L's

Now, I've seen this movie, Sex and The City, and if there are any two words to to describe Victoria Townsend, it labels and love. On one hand she's a shopaholic (ie. labels) and on the other she's a boy addict (love). She thinks she can't go a month without a boyfriend. She's been my buddy since last summer when we worked at Worlds of Fun, this amusement park we have here in Kansas City. Here's a little about her.

First, Victoria is a giver. You may not recognize it firsthand, but, she gives advice. You don't want most of thee time, but she gives it. ometimes we have to give her advice. WE meaning ME. Those other two make mistakes just like her. But they learn, that's why I give it. Like I said, Vicky is a little boy-crazy(that's putting it gently). Most of the stuff she talks about is about a boy or a converation that she turns around to be about a boy. Not that I blame her she has had her share of the world's bountiful abundance of love. Love named Dante, and most recently Julian. But I digress...

In a nutshell, Victoria's one of my BEST best friends and my circle of buddies wouldnt be complete without her. As you can see, she's a very important character in my life and you'll be hearing more about her in my later posts. Below is a video of her and Troy, my friend from two posts ago, acting their crazy selves! See ya later.

Harold - The Athlete

Yeah, so Captitan Mugstot up here is Harold Mabin. I've known him since the seventh grade. I'd like to retract a previous statement in Troy's blog about him being one of my best friends. Not saying we aren't cool, I mean, we're tight. I'm not exactly sure what we are but friends we are not. I have to say out of all my best friends, Harold is my on best aquaintance.

All joking aside, Harold and I did meet in the seventh grade. He was shorter than me, had an afro, and an attitude. Now we're both sophomores. He's taller than me now, he's cut his hair, and he still has that attitude. But, if I had to choose only a few of my friends to keep, he would be one of the chosen few. Mostly because I think that the best kind of friends you can have are the ones who real with you (ie. the ones that are quick to call you on your shit).

Harold and I have spats and arguments every now and again, but, as much as we fight, we both know that no matter how many sarcastic comments we throw at each other, we always have each others' back. The first arc of the blog actually kinda deals with him and one of my other friends, Victoria, who is the main focus of the next post! So, until then....

See U!

New Music: "Spotlight" by Jennifer Hudson

Enjoy!

See Jennifer Hudson in New Line Cinema and HBO Films feature adaptaion of "Sex and The City". The movie is good, by the way, for a chick flick.

Troyron - The Artist

This is one of my best friends. Troyron Vann is an artist in his own right. He draws and can paint, from what I know. He practices by drawing anime characters he sees on television. He has a really short attention span, though. But, we all do, so, it's not something we can mess with him about. But still, he is a great artist, and I think it's the career he wants to pursue.

The thing I like about Troy is the fact that he is the down to earth one. He kind of contrasts with the wild spontaneity the rest of us have. You can tell from his voice and the way he speaks that most times he really doesn't give a shit. Most of us don't half the time, except maybe Shayla and Victoria (you'll learn more about the a little later).

So, that's Troy. The next post will be about my friend Harold, the athlete (yeah, that's it. Just kidding). P.S.: The pic's from his MySpace profile, it's not mine.

Party of Six

Friends. Everybody has at least one. If they don't, they live under a rock. It's true. I mean, everybody says, "Not everybody has friends". But, yes they do. Whether they're pets or imaginary they're still friends. The best kind of friends you can have are the ones who will be there for you, as cliche' as it sounds.

I love my friends. Just because I have a variety. Seriously, it's like I truly have flavors of friends. I have an artist who plays sports on occasion, a musician who moonlights as a comedian, an actress, a jock who likes to draw cartoons, and a creative writing major who wants to be a singer/military officer/criminal attorney.

Myself, I'm a screenwriter with nothing better to do but blog right now (unless you count sleep). Still, I am a screenwiter, or at least I want to be. But, scripts aren't all I write. I write poems and short stories. Actually if this blogging thing keeps on, I might even put all the entries into a book. Honestly, I smell a bestseller. LOL(Oops, am i not upposed to use those things while blogging...never mind).

Well, the next few entries will be full posts about all five of my best friends. By the way I've got some honorable mention, too(Seaka, Nick, Christine, etc.) So, stay tuned!

NBL(nothing but love),
